Every Hermès colour collection carries a message, but the 2026 range unfolds with more layers than usual. Under the year’s theme, “Venture Beyond”, eight new shades have been introduced: Bai Brun, Carbone, Vert Loden, Crème Chantilly, Guimauve, Purple, Jaune Mango and Dune. Bringing so many new tones at once sends a clear signal: Hermès is speaking to different audiences in the same season, without compromising any of its core values.
Bai Brun, named after the coat of the bay horse, carries warm red undertones that give depth to its brown base. Alongside it come Carbone, a serious, grounded grey, and Vert Loden, a hunting green that nods straight to the brand’s equestrian roots. These are colours that do not compete for attention; they compete to endure.
On the other side are the shades made to stand out. Purple is described as a vibrant ultraviolet, a bold addition given how rarely Hermès releases violet tones.
Jaune Mango joins it as a saturated, vivid yellow, far from pastel, produced in limited quantities. Guimauve appears as the most unexpected middle ground: a soft pink that still holds its own character, close to Mauve Sylvestre with a subtle violet undertone. If you already know Hermès, you likely know which group speaks to you. There are those who prefer pieces meant to last for decades, ageing gracefully and never falling out of style; they will naturally gravitate toward Bai Brun, Carbone and Vert Loden. Then there are those who live for the thrill of the hunt: the rare colour that may never return, the piece that becomes a story to tell; their eyes are already set on Purple and Jaune Mango. The good news is you do not have to pick just one side of your relationship with the house. Hermès did not choose, and that is perhaps why 2026 feels like such a meaningful season for those who follow it closely.
